Sr. Rozalia Raveca Tintelecan, OSBM

With sorrow in our souls, but with faith in the Resurrection of the Lord, we announce that the soul of our beloved sister, Sister Rozalia – Raveca Tintelecan, passed into eternal glory, on October 21, 2021 at the age of 94, among the martyrs and the confessors of the Greek Catholic Church in Romania.

She entered the Sisters of St. Basil on January 1st, 1973 and made her Final Profession of Vows on March 29th, 1987.

She was a Sister who knew the founder of the Basilian Sisters in Romania, Mother Ana Fekete, but because of the persecution of the Church she did not have the opportunity to enter the community during that time but she continued to be in touch with her. She is the one who ends the series of sisters who knew our founder.

She was a Sister of prayer, her life was a lighted candle in the lamped, living always in the presence of God. In the last years her mission was the prayer, she was sitting in the chapel in front of the Holy Sacrament for many hours, this being her greatest joy and happiness.

She’s gone between us fed daily at the Source of Life, passing from death to life and from earth to Heaven, in the sorrowful of all the Sisters.

For us, the Basilian Sisters, she was a model of living the faith and the vocation, as well as of dedication to God and neighbor. Now we entrust her to the Lord and to the Blessed Virgin Mary, imploring for her eternal rest and happiness.

The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23 at 9:00 a.m. at the Parish Chapel of the “Holy Women Mirofore” and the Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated at 12:00 a.m.

Interment will follow in the place destined for the Sisters from the Catholic Cemetery from Gherla town.

May God grant her eternal rest and may the endless Light shine on her!
